As far as I can tell, the board started July 10th, 2004 (this link is the first topic created that is still in existence). I make that 912 days ago, roughly. One or two day error will result in a change in less than 1 post per day. 495,206 posts as of 8:47pm GMT. I make that 542.99 posts per day. By those numbers, we will hit 500,000 in 8.8 days time... we'll probably do it sooner though.
