Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 If Mourinho left and was even replaced by somebody like Guus Hiddink, would they begin to struggle because of the loss of the 'Special One' ??? I think they would to some extent as he is an excellent boss.

lildave3 Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 I don't think they'd do aswell as they are now, Jose is a world class coach. He's proved it with Porto that he can take any challenge on. If Chelsea were to get someone else in, i.e Hiddink, he would not get as much out of the players as Jose is now.
dhermon Posted 10 January 2007 Posted 10 January 2007 Guus hiddink would improve them in the short term but not sure for how long , of late he has not stayed in any job for long so is hard to judge
Finnegan Posted 10 January 2007 Posted 10 January 2007 Mourinho's not the best coach in the world. He's a good man-manager, maybe, but tbh I can't wait for him to fook off out of the English game so I can stop having to listen to him. Hiddink seems to have a far better footballing brain on him. That's not to call Mourinho stupid, however.

Wils Posted 10 January 2007 Posted 10 January 2007 The players would miss his influence as i think he works well with players on the motivational side of things and he can get alot out of players,as someone has already said i dont think he is the best coach in the world. He does have respect of his own players i feel which is always a plus.
