Fox in a Box Posted 19 January 2007 Share Posted 19 January 2007 Sarcasm: Sarcasm is sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony, with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony intended to insult or wound[1] -- stating the opposite of the intended meaning, e.g. using "that's amazing" to mean "that's awful". It is used in a humorous manner, often harshly, and is expressed through vocal intonations such as over-emphasizing the actual statement or particular words. Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger[2] or annoyance. so whats the point!

Lord Nibblington Posted 19 January 2007 Share Posted 19 January 2007 There's something you don't hear everyday, I've never heard before. Would it be a crushing blow if I even cheekily suggested that you should note the post above the her comment for your own reference? Yes? No? Anyone? Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 February 2007 Author Share Posted 28 February 2007 That is to say, look what we can do when we don't have to put up with McCarthy and Williams.
Nationwider Posted 28 February 2007 Share Posted 28 February 2007 That is to say, look what we can do when we don't have to put up with McCarthy and Williams. Cock on. I hope you had a good time in the Bahamas, Fez? McCarthy is not a Premiership centre-back, and no amount of shouting, pointing, ridiculous berating of refs and general chest-beating by him is going to change that. I'm glad to see McAuley taking advantage of his absence - he's the new Phil Gilchrist, only with more goals.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 February 2007 Author Share Posted 28 February 2007 It was okay, but it looked remarkably like Northampton, and it wasn't quite as hot as I expected, and I still had to go to work. Overrated if you ask me.
