Former England captain Beckham is to move to America at the end of the season after agreeing a five-year deal with the Major League Soccer side worth £128million. And LA Galaxy midfielder Vagenas admits his team-mates are feeling a certain amount of bitterness towards Beckham. "I think if people said `no' they would be lying," Vagenas told Radio Five Live. "Of course there is resentment. But a wise man once said you are worth what you negotiate. "On the one hand you would say more power to him but on the other hand you think 'why can't I be earning that?" Vagenas has played 150 games for LA Galaxy and captained them to a cup double in 2005. Gotta compare apples with apples, not apples with oranges. Punchline: He earns more in one week (not one day) than Vagenas does in a year. Still obscene money, in comparison, though.

It's funny the more you do to earn an honest crust the less you get paid but get yourself on a reality TV show or have the fortune to be able to kick a football very well and you get paid millions. Mind you should we be really surprised about this when basically Becks is only going there to sell more Shirts to the Far East Market. The guy is talking crap when he says he is going for the challenge of getting Soccer more coverage in the states. More Youngsters play football at youth level than even in this Country but when they get to 14 -15 they take up Baseball, American football and Basketball because there's more money in those sports.
