Matt Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Quite a good game so far. There was a penalty decision turned down very early in the game, which I don't think was a peno looking at the replays, and Man Utd scored but the referee didn't see it cross the line which on the replay clearly did. Not bad a game so far. 0-0 H/T
lcfc_jme Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Man Yoo for the win I'd say. Fairly decent game, Utd in control but not really damaging Pompey. Set up for a good second half though. Utd will want to come out of the blocks quickly methinks in order to kill Pompey off and banish the memories of their game against Arsenal last week.
JoeyB Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL what a cracking finish it was shame it was offside
lookwhaticando Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 What a bollocking brilliant finish from Larsssssonnnnnnnnnn Shame the lino got it wrong. willy puller.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Larsson just had a goal disallowed for "offside", though it was NEVER off. Absolutely awesome finish though, brilliant stuff
Thracian Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 What a f....g joke football officiating is becoming. They might as well have a list of alternatives for every decision and still a sodding pin in the paper to decide. I'm beginning to think there must be some ulterior motive for not using video technology. Either that or there's a secret handicap system in operation. United have now had two perfectly good goals disallowed, one of them absolutely brilliant. And they are disallowed when technologicy would have proved both. It's a disgrace. I am sick of seeing officials give things they think they see instead of things they actually see. They cannot "see" what doesn't actually happen.
lookwhaticando Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Man U should be two goals to the good for now, and they're good value for it. Shocking stuff really. Video technology wouldn't slow the game down - you'd have a ref watching goalline action on a video and he can make a decision within 10 seconds, that's all it takes to review 'goals' and offsides from 2 or 3 angles. Bring 'er on.
JoeyB Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEY 1-0 utd made by giggs finished by: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEY

Them footballers ain't 'arf a bit daft sometimes. It should be you're right. Though the official scoreline reads (so many people do not get confused) Man Utd 2 - 0 Portsmouth. Fully deserve the lead and ultimately the win today United. Good performance overall.

Wasn't a bad game of football either.

lcfc_jme Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Four one you plank! FOUR ONE!!! Should have been 4-1, but wasn't. Just the same as Leicester should have defended better and Paddy McCarthy shouldn't have been playing today. 2 perfectly reasonable goals (one of them an absolutely sublime finish) ruled out due to poor officiating. 2-1 is the official scoreline of the game

It's all academic now... Man Yoo won, and that's what counts. Now all we need is for Bolton to beat some Arse and Forest to stun Chelski and it'll be a reasonable weekend for the Cup.
lookwhaticando Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 have the newest firefox out but cant see spell check Sorry, I'm mistaken. Opera has the spell checker. Apologies.

Floating Fox Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 Cant see what the big deal was made over Larrson's dis-aloud goal. It was just unlucky because if you look at it from the lino's view then he can't see Primus (who's playing larrson onside) it happens all the time and has done for years, Not like it made a difference anyway.

All the more reason for video technology.
Floating Fox Posted 27 January 2007 Posted 27 January 2007 All the more reason for video technology. No! This is football, leave it the way it is there are plenty more important things that need addressing before this.
