Joe. Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Just wondered who everyone thought was the best at the moment. I know we've had it before but it's a good poll. Vote Away. My votes extremely close between Cech and Jaaskelainen but I think Cech has to just edge it.
lildave3 Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 You mean you didn't pick James?! I'm shocked. I'd say Cech, Jasskelainen or Given to be honest. But like you, i'd say the best all round keeper is Cech.

lcfc_jme Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 john o'shea or jagielka Shut up. Given wins it for me. If he played in a team that had a better defence, he'd be near unbeatable. Awesome goalkeeper. VDS and Cech do not have Titus Bramble et al playing infront of them, and so do not have their credentials tested as much as Mr. Given does on a regular basis.
lildave3 Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 No he's just England's best keeper and you know it I'm not going to take this. Not only do i think Robinson is a great keeper (as he proved today) i also fooking hate James.
Simi Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Hard to pick one. There all great keepers just better at different things. I think Jussi J is a great keeper and with an even better defence behind him he would be alot better than he is. The Prem does have some great keepers though.
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 swear this was done only 2 months ago, if I was a proper saddo I'd attempt to find it. Given for me
JoeyB Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 what about: carson - would be ace with a defence like utds Reina - conceded 3 goals in his last 10 games or something like that Lehmen - may be eccentric but still one hell of a good shot stopper Hahnemann(reading one) - he's kept them in a lot of games, would'nt be there without him

Joe. Posted 4 February 2007 Author Posted 4 February 2007 It's so hard not to choose Jaaskelainen. I honestly believe that if it weren't for hi mBolton would be an average Premiership side, mid to lower table. Some of the saves he makes are just truly stunning. He keeps Bolton in so many games its unbelievable.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 It's so hard not to choose Given. I honestly believe that if it weren't for him Newcastle would be a below-average Premiership side, lower table/relegation candidates. Some of the saves he makes are just truly stunning. He keeps Newcastle in so many games its unbelievable.
lildave3 Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Newcastle are a below average prem side though
lcfc_jme Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Changing my posts! How dare you Jamie? Happens to the best of 'em mate. Don't take it personally. Newcastle are a below average prem side though Newcastle aren't a bad side. They'd beat us that's for sure. If they could tighten their defence up, they'd consistently be in the top-half of the Prem and pick up many more better results. I know that much for a fact.
RowlattsFox Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 cech is best but jaaskalinen is under-rated
Geo V Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Cech James Carson Robinson is over rated and always makes errors. I would have Carson as Englands No1 as its a little too late for James.

Like in the JoJo song?!? Carson shouldn't be Englands number one. He hasn't exactly had a great season. He deserves it no more than Ben Foster. If I had the choice of the two, I'd go with Foster for sure.
