Scarby Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 looks like walker will start Craig Levein has confirmed that Ian Walker will make his long awaited return for the Foxes when they take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night.Walker has been out of action since the end of August with a troublesome knee injury, but made the first steps to a return when he came through 70 minutes for the reserves against Coventry last week. It's been a frustrating period on the sidelines for the England man, who had been an almost ever present since his move from Tottenham in July 2001. But Levein says he is now confident enough to give Walker a run out in the FA Cup third round replay clash. He said: "Ian is looking forward to coming back. I am not kidding anybody saying he is 100 per cent fit but I feel that he is close enough to be ready to play." Levein's decision to rush back his 'keeper has been forced somewhat by the fact that Arsenal will not allow on loan Stuart Taylor to become cup tied. And the City boss confirmed that he will now wait and see before attempting to extent his loan period - which is due to end after this weekend's Championship game against Gillingham at the Walkers Stadium. He added: "We will make a decision regarding the future of Stuart Taylor here after the game on Tuesday night. He has been great for us and the sensible thing might be to try and continue the loan deal. "We will have to look at it closely and also take into consideration how Ian does on his comeback. "
