Simi Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 West Ham have had a bid to move to London's new Olympic Stadium after 2012 turned down. Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson is keen for the club to move away from their current Upton Park home. A proposed move to the new Olympic Stadium following the 2012 games is thought to have been the Icelander's preferred option. Magnusson has been in discussions with London officials about the availability of the stadium following the Olympics. However, following a meeting of the Olympic board on Wednesday, Magnusson will need to look elsewhere to relocate West Ham away from Upton Park. From Sky Sports. Not sure what the Hammers fans would think to this. Would they be able to fill it ?
Head Honcho Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 The capacity will be reduced when the games are over, so I'd guess they would be able to fill it if in the Prem, they'd be a bit like us if in the Championship.

RowlattsFox Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 it will only be 25,000 after the olympics. they would have no problem filling that, leyton orient will struggle though

potter3 Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Look how far it is from the pitch, the players would barely here the fans if the whole stadium was singing.
Geo V Posted 8 February 2007 Posted 8 February 2007 West Ham would be the perfect owners due to the location so I hope it happens. Its pointless in building another stadium in the same area as it would get much use as an athletics track will it?!

If it has an athletics track then that makes the view alot worse as you are even further back.
