bathcitytimbo Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 I was pleased to hear via standupsitdown.co.uk - (the national campaign group behind re-introducing standing), that Leicester are hoping to install standing in an area of the ground. This subject is really becoming quite prominent as 125+ MP's have signed up to the idea, and with enough support and constant badgering of sports minister Richard Caborn, we will hopefully achieve our goal. Now, from BathCityTimbo, who brought you - The state of football - death of a game, birth of a monster comes a new campaign film highlighting why limited safe standing areas are perfectly safe and are a must for many reasons. Let me know what u think!
stez Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 i've never understood how clambering over row and rows of seats, to exit in a hurry, is safer than a clear route out where there are no seats. surely the previous dangerous standing areas were more down to gate being opened and to many people being let in?

Exactly, if they just said no after a certain amount of people had gone in, there wouldn't be any problems.
john_lcfc Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 there is no argument against standing and anyone who tries to argue it is unsafe is a lunatic.
