cisono Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 I'm doing a degree in Statistics. I don't know what I'm going to do when I graduate. So sue me. ... if you have an appropriate law degree, that is. Plenty of jobs around for stats graduates...
Daggers Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Plenty of jobs around for stats graduates... The time he's spent on the Chebs thread should stand him in good statistical stead anyway!
cisono Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 The time he's spent on the Chebs thread should stand him in good statistical stead anyway! So true!!! In fact, I wonder how many university credits he could get for all that hard work?!?!
Daggers Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 So true!!! In fact, I wonder how many university credits he could get for all that hard work?!?! Credits? I think LWICD is currently delivering 201 Chebs Appreciation From A Statistical Perspective
cisono Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Credits? I think LWICD is currently delivering 201 Chebs Appreciation From A Statistical Perspective that would explain why he just *might* be a little behind with some far less interesting modules...
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 that would explain why he just *might* be a little behind with some far less interesting modules... Sampling Methodology to name but one...
cisono Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Sampling Methodology to name but one... Will you have to take extra classes in that?
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Will you have to take extra classes in that? Bloody hope not... it's dry and repetitive. Does my head in. The professor is a right barrel of laughs though, so I tolerate it most of the time.
Daggers Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Bloody hope not... it's dry and repetitive. Does my head in. Dry? Repetative? Statistics? Surely not?
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Dry? Repetative? Statistics? Surely not? You'd be surprised... Statistics isn't as boring as it sounds. Some of it's quite intetersting... but the discpline is dragged down by the reputation of courses such as Sampling Methodology. That's what leads to 99.9% of psychology students hate statistics - because they think it's all about the methodology courses. Poor deluded psychology students. Or maybe I'm just weird. Don't even think about commenting. Though... in my defence... if I'm weird, so's Louise. She's the FoxesTalk Statto! Sorry to drop you in it, Louise, if you happen to be reading this...
