Guest Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 It should be scrapped, Students should pay the same as the rest. Why is that exactly?
Flynny Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 It should be scrapped, Students should pay the same as the rest. Balls should they.
Leicfox Posted 20 February 2007 Author Posted 20 February 2007 Why is that exactly? Why not. Just because they eat pot noodles, doesnt mean they're poor. You see most students out on a weekend pissing they're money up the wall, yet they have no money. Save the beer money and pay full price.
Guest Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 You could say the same thing about the unemployed and the elderly. You'll need a better reason to convince me.
Head Honcho Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Anything to encourage more fans to The Walkers should be supported.
Dr The Singh Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Anything to encourage more fans to The Walkers should be supported. I'm surprised the 'PC brigade' and the 'doo gooders' haven't come up with the idea of giving dscounts to ethnic minorities!!!! PS - please forward this idea to the 'PC brigade' and the 'doo gooders', as I do not know any!!!
Craig Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 It should be scrapped, Students should pay the same as the rest. Genius. <_<

Yeah when your paying £3000 a year + accomodation/living costs (£2-3000) just for education, you would want a discount!
Zingari Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 It should be scrapped, Students should pay the same as the rest. agreed bunch of scroungers
Cat Burger Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 I'm a student, I go out once or twice a week. I imagine that's about the same as any young person. I'm not one of the pricks who have all their fees paid for them by their parents and then use their loan to go out every night. I have to work hard in the summer, x mas and easter holidays to support myself, and other than that I live off of my loan (which I have to pay back) I am making a lot of sacrifices to better myself thank you very much.

Exactly. I worked full time for a year ta save up to go ta uni. All the money I spend is my own!
Leicfox Posted 21 February 2007 Author Posted 21 February 2007 You could say the same thing about the unemployed and the elderly. You'll need a better reason to convince me. Do the unemployed get cheaper match tickets then ? I've got a problem with the elderly to, they have millions stashed away but all they do is complain about consessions on buses. Make them pay full price too.
Leicfox Posted 21 February 2007 Author Posted 21 February 2007 Yeah when your paying £3000 a year + accomodation/living costs (£2-3000) just for education, you would want a discount! My heart bleeds for you, it was your decesion to further your education, im paying a mortgage, plus bills, and supporting a family as that was my decision, so where's my discount ?
Daggers Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Students should be allowed cheap tickets, free sex and a lifetimes supply of alcohol for life, if not longer. This is for having to carry the burden of being clever while living in a world built on stupid.
Cat Burger Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 I don't even watch games I don't know why I'm getting involved, it's a sacrifice I've made. I'm a student for three years, what about the rest of my life? I'll be paying the same as you. Questioning his decision to become a student is like questioning whether you should've had that extra kiddie.

I must say I still don't understand how student can afford to drink so much Actually, they cannot but they still drink a lot and that's why their student loans are HUGE!
Leicfox Posted 21 February 2007 Author Posted 21 February 2007 Im not questioning, all i've said is, it was there decision to become students based on them moaning about what students have to paycost etc, coale39 is saying because students have payed for a further education they should get perks. Im saying, i never furthered mine, and pay out a dawn sight more, where's my perks. Btw im not bitter or in anyway bothered by it, i'd just like an answer on why Students get perks all the time.
Maybes Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Student tickets are good as I get cheap tickets.....Even though I may not be a student.
Cat Burger Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 I must say I still don't understand how student can afford to drink so much Actually, they cannot but they still drink a lot and that's why their student loans are HUGE! It is if your parents are self employed, single or you have diabetes or summat. Me? Well it barely even covers my accomodation, in the first year my accomodation was my loan + about £300.
Zingari Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Nobody is questioning anyone's right to be a student ; the question is , should they be subsidised ever further by concessions to football matches etc . Personally if they can afford to pay even half price admittance then they are getting too much already; they should live like ascetic monks during their student years, doing what the taxpayer is spending good money on ; and that is learning something worthwhile ; not spending it on p*ss ups and football matches. The unemployed ought to be out looking for jobs and old people ( except for Milan Mandaric) should stay away and not clutter the place up with tartan blankets and flasks.
davieG Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Everyone should get in free, after all we are a Community Club. Oh and free drinks and pies please.
Cat Burger Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Ok, well I've not used this perk in particular. Not sure I agree with it either. Is it currently on for De montfort and Leicester Uni students? You see, I agree with that as it encourages the growth of our fanbase.
Daggers Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 I'm beginning to think that this thread isn't living up to the hype of its title
