davieG Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 Nicked from the Fox Fanzine debate about the waste of space that is the forum HomerFox.. Come on folks Do you really think they are going to make policy, and take decisions, based on some informal, and a little pathetic, meeting that takes place four/five times a year ? Have a word with yourselves At no point last night was there any attempt to discuss anything of any relevance or importance. It was not a "forum" at all What actually happened ? 1. They told us about the Season Ticket plans (that were going on the OS today anyway) 2. They told us about the new kit designer (which we knew anyway), and the fact that we were getting new kits (that we knew anyway. And also that the previous fans forum decision to involve the fans in selecting the kit was shelved 3. The "Update on Groundshare" agenda item was actually "Tim (who wasn't there) says that if he was a betting man then he would put money on it going ahead". Good debate that one 4. We saved a little bit of cash on the Trev deal (Derr..) Other than that - soggy chips and rank sarnies As if you thought it would be anything else Behave Looks like the groundshare is a goer, always thought it would be otherwise why make such a big thing when announcing it. Get out your Red and Green and Cotton Trader kit.

davieG Posted 21 January 2005 Author Posted 21 January 2005 You're right Jonbluefox9 it's still not definite that the groundshare will take place but when Tim Davies is quoted as "that if he was a betting man then he would put money on it going ahead" I can't see the groundshare steamroller grinding to a halt.
Fox in a Box Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 DavidG Be careful what you say about the Fans Forum David as a 'fly on the wall' meaning some people who read this board may also have been there, the information the tell us is private. You can be ejected if they find out this was stipulated from the outset. Please be careful. They release info when deemed appropriate. I agree that the forum is suppose to be a Unit where things are discussed, Peter does very well to keep it organised. I feel the personal 'experiences' that some fans should not be discussed , an email to peter saves the time for US to discuss our gripes about the club....not issues beyond our control.

So Iam not sure why I need to be careful and of what. I've just used it to reflect what might be happening re the groundshare and to express my opinion of the forum, which by the way Peter Jones is aware of as I've emailed him my views on a couple of occasions. But thanks anyway
