Shum Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 Anyone use anything apart from itunes? Something that you can simply drag and drop stuff onto your ipod?
lookwhaticando Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 Just wondering out loud here... I wonder if it's possible to install a generic 'mass storage device' driver for the iPod... that way it would just look like a flash drive, and you could drag and drop things in Windows. As I said... just wondering aloud...

Along those lines... is it possible to drag and drop thru Windows explorer, then? Or does the flash disk function also operate through iTunes?
potter3 Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 Along those lines... is it possible to drag and drop thru Windows explorer, then? Or does the flash disk function also operate through iTunes? Don't know for two reasons: 1. I've never actually tried it 2. I don't have Windows explorer
lookwhaticando Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 Don't know for two reasons: 1. I've never actually tried it 2. I don't have Windows explorer 2. You do... if you have Windows. Explorer is the name of the subsystem in Windows that allows you to navigate the files and folders on your hard drive. It's also what powers your desktop environment for the most part.

Yeah but I don't. I thought that was what Windows explorer was, but I wasn't sure

hairy Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 'Ipod access for windows' is what you want. Lets you drag and drop and copy the music from any ipod onto your pc.+ Or Xplay is another maybe even easier to use.
lookwhaticando Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 What if I had a Linux? Not that I do Still relatively virus free. Mind you... relative to Windows, the World's population is relatively virus free.
