The People's Hero Posted 4 April 2007 Posted 4 April 2007 I'm reminded of when I was playing for a team (fairly mediocre at the time) and we were playing a pre-season friendly against what turned out to be one of the worst teams I've ever seen. We let them waltz through unchallenged in the second half to try to give them a goal. They actually got caught offside (idiots) despite no one moving following the centre restart, they had a shot though which cannoned off the crossbar and hit our keeper in the back of the head. It knocked him out. Hilarious. They still didn't score either as despite our protestations, it was given offside. We played them in the cup later that season and only about 8 of our players turned up, they had a few ringers in for that one off game and caned us about 8 nil. I'll never live that down as it was the only game they won that season if I remember correctly!
