FilboFox Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Does anybody know if this is a good uni for me... I've looked at it and it seems really quite good and the course (Graphic Design) really suits my needs. Could somebody who knows it tell me if its any good as in campus and/or facilities wise?

Uni life is good at DMU, loads to do and rink!!!
Random Burglar Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Im just coming to the end of my final year now. If it suits your needs then go for it. I have found it to be a great university and the lecturers are brilliant too. The campus is only a 5 minute stagger home from the city centre and supermarkets are only a 10minute walk away.
Alexikokopops Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 My mate does Graphic Design and she's enjoying it.
FilboFox Posted 18 April 2007 Author Posted 18 April 2007 Thanks! It does look good indeed and I think I will be going there now. Just need to pass my flamming exams now...
syston_fox Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Apart from one or two lecturers Ive loved it at DMU. Madisons in the campus centre has saved my life on many a morning with a 6 item breakfast and free cuppa! Downsides: 1) Heatings always on in the library 2) Dunno if its the same on every course but there seems to be a lack of communication between modules and you end up having to do 6 pieces of c/work all in for the same week instead of spreading them throughout the year. 3) Me and Thehillsdonator will have left when you start!

Shame that you will have left but hey, if those are the only downsides then I'm well chuffed! Thanks.

For someone doing the IB, you should be looking a lot higher than DMU! No offence to any alumni!
