Phube Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Just reading BBC about how Sheff U will get £20M to spend in the transfer market next year if they stay up. And every Prem club guaranteed £50M next year. Will this money filter down to the Championship and Leagues 1 & 2. Will it go abroad, or just line the pockets of the players and agents? Two of them three would create really big problems for footy in this country!! What does everyone else think?

Agents and players agreed. I don't see how bringing in better players to the prem from abroad is going to hurt our football league.

Phube Posted 1 May 2007 Author Posted 1 May 2007 Agents and players agreed. I don't see how bringing in better players to the prem from abroad is going to hurt our football league. I'm talking about how if all the money either stays in the Prem or goes abroad. Then the Prem will become a closed shop. with the same 6 teams changing places every year!!
Geo V Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Alot of the money will go out of the country because our lower leagues arent all that and the Premiership clubs wouldnt be strengthening there sides by looking down here beyond players like Koumas, Nugent, Earnshaw and Camara. Hopefully that will mean that Premiership clubs will then be forced to except minimal fees for good standard players who wont feature in there plans and that inturn will make the Championship a stronger league and allow clubs at our level to attract the likes of Todorov and Murphy along. Thats my dream and I am sticking to it
