Cobbo Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 Just read over the last few pages and you will see my opinions. 62745[/snapback] You kept saying it was the funniest post and stuff. Then mocked Petrescu's own theory on club size without coming up with one of your own. So as you found it amusing it is factually false?
Cat Burger Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 "We are a bigger club than Blackburn" they are living on borrowed time as Lisa says, they have a short term future and we have a long term one. The capacity of a team's stadium is important, but also the facilities ours of which are bigger and better. Just because we are lower on the ladder that shouldn't matter, Newcastle have never won a thing whereas teams like Preston, Huddersfield, Barnsley have, would you say them rabble are bigger than the toon??
MADLEVEIN Posted 5 February 2005 Author Posted 5 February 2005 "newcastle have never won a thing".... some of their honours. League Champions 1904/05, 1906/07, 1908/09, 1926/27 Division 1 & old Division 2 Champions 1964/65, 1992/93 League Runners Up 1995/96, 1996/97 old Division 2 Runners Up 1897/98, 1947/48 FA Cup Winners 1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955 going back to the original argument , blackburn are only doing better than us because of jack walker, and at the minute can attract bigger and better names to their club because of their financial situation. we however will have to scrape by at the minute and try to rebuild the hard way, thus making them a bigger club in the money and status sense but not possibly on the potential side of things if we were to have a big investor, because our fan base is greater than theirs as are leeds and wolves.
Cat Burger Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Ok.. I should have put in the last 50 years. Oh shag it, I'm a crap statto!!
