escape2victory Posted 22 May 2007 Posted 22 May 2007 Anyone watch it last night, was on Bravo ? Hosted by Danny Dyer. He went to Turkey to watch the Galatasaray v Fenerbache game. Looked fookin insane. They are all mentalists. Throwing seats, throwing flares and fireworks at the players, carrying knives. And apparently this is the norm !! Imagine if that happened in England. Would be kicked out of Europe for about 50 years. They also had repeats on last week where he went to different areas of the UK to report on football hooligans. Watched the Midlands episode few days ago. He came to Leicester to interview the Baby Squad. Was interesting stuff. Apparently Chelsea in 88 was the best/worst fight they have been in.

Tommeh Posted 22 May 2007 Posted 22 May 2007 saw the London episode a week ago and there was alays reference to Headhunters v BS but never actually seen the midlands one Best one I've seen was Burnley with all the streets and footpaths around turf moor where they ambush away fans.

This series though looks fantastic on last nights evidence, I don't think i'll be taking a trip to Turkey anytime soon! Even the Non-League violence produces riots and deaths!

Sir Fynwy Posted 22 May 2007 Posted 22 May 2007 I was in Istanbul on business about 12 years ago on the night that fenerbache beat galatasaray to win the championship, the 'fans' destroyed the main street outside our hotel and most of the rest of the city centre as part of their celebrations. It was utterly stupid imo.
