imagine that Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Wigan have won the race to sign Antonine Sibierski from Newcastle. The French forward turned down a one-year offer to remain at St James' Park and he has now agreed a two-year deal at The JJB Stadium. Sibierski, is understood to have had offers from a number of teams including Bolton, was pleased to see his future resolved. "I am delighted to have my future sorted," Sibierski told Wigan's official website. "The manager impressed me hugely and this is clearly a very ambitious club. I can't wait to get started." The arrival of Sibierski means he is the second player to arrive from Newcastle in 24 hours after Titus Bramble also signed on the dotted line for The Latics. Wigan boss Chris Hutchings added: "Antoine is a player I have admired a lot ever since he came to England. "He is strong and committed and will give everything to the cause. He is a player who can fill a number of different positions, in midfield or as a striker and I'm delighted to be able to add him to the squad." link
Fez of Mahrez Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 They really are building a squad that will hurtle inexorably towards relegation.
Simon Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 They really are building a squad that will hurtle inexorably towards relegation. Was thinking exactly the same thing. Newcastle rejects says a lot really, doesn't it?
lildave3 Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 To be honest I think this is a decent signing for them. And Titus Bramble.

lildave3 Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I think you're lying. Honestly. Sibierski actually had a decent season for newcastle, and I think he will good for a club like Wigan. As for Bramble, well he was good before he went to Newcastle, and I think he'll be good again now he's left.

As for Bramble, well he was good before he went to Newcastle, and I think he'll be good again now he's left. Yeah but he was garbage for city and he's not getting any younger. I have always liked his abilty to hit the bar from headers 10+ times a season though. Basic coaching instructions Antoin, head it down.
Sods Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Titus bramble is shocking, antoine siberski isnt that bad with decent players and when the teams playing well. WOnt be good for wigan, going down i reckon
