Finnegan Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 Replace Sheffield United with Leicester City and lets see if that opinion remains Yes, probably. I was the first to shake my head and think less of Sparky when he kept battling away to have Russia thrown out of Euro 2004. It was heartbreaking losing and it was worse knowing they'd, allegedly, "cheated" (failed drugs tests) - but the fact of the matter was, we were shit on the day. Fluffed our chances and didn't deserve it. Sometimes you just have to hold your hand up and admit you've fooked things up for yourself.
Daggers Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 I was sympathetic to their plight until Shaun Bean went to Parliament...jumped up celebrity. It really has nothing to do with government or the EU.
Zingari Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 http://www.the-onion-bag.com/index.php?story=563 its all been resolved amicably a merger of the two teams
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 I think it's good that they are keeping the case in the public eye but visiting the Pope was a bit much. I think they're losing perspective of the real tragedy that has occurred.
Joe. Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 Sheffield United weren't good enough to stay up and I don't believe they should be reinstated. However, West Ham blatantly broke the rules and really should have had a points deduction. Instead of this though, they received a hefty fine, and so therefore were punished. They received their punishment and that's it I think
city1993 Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 Sheff utd f**ked themselves up on the last day, when they shouldn't have even been in that position really, so I don't think they should be reinstated, especially now the fixtures have been finalised.
