THE MKDons Debate

True story mate.

It seems to be.

It will be surprising if it is Ince as he has allegedly said that he doesn't want to relocate his family from the Wirral and ever since Danny Wilson inisisted on commuting from Chesterfield, the chairman has always maintained that he's always wanted a manager to be more local.

It's also hard to see that Ince does have a proven track record. OK, he did manage to turn things around a bit at Macclesfield by getting them out of relegation, but he was only there 9 months and has no proven ability at gaining promotion. A bit like Allen I suppose in that respect.

The chairman keeps on using Aidy Boothroyd as his benchmark.

I'd certainly second that.

Although the one thing I miss about Allen (in fact the only thing I miss) is his regular web site updates. There'd be at least one a week whether we won or lost he'd still used to keep us informed.

Time will tell, that apart from the unsettling transition of having a new manager we're most likely better off with Ince.

i wouldnt be too sure , ince still got a lot to prove in management . when ince was linked with us i was fairly happy with it and would have given him a chance but im far happier with allen . good luck for the season

Ince has a lot less to prove in our league then Allen has in yours. After 9 months managing Macclesfield and against all the odds Ince achieved his objective of keeping them up.

On the other hand, despite being given the budget to do so - Allen failed to take us up. Whether you interpret that as failure or not seems arguable. I certainly see it that way.

He got us into the play-offs and then systematically lost it for us by persisting in falling out with our top players rather choosing the right players to do the job. It's something he made a season long habit of and couldn't restrain himself just for two vital games.

The only official signing so far is Kevin Gallen who Plymouth were hoping to sign after he spent the last four months of the season on loan there.

The Dons have been in Portugal for the past week. They appear to have taken quite a few trialists over there with them so there might be some more transfer activity on their return.

I think this time last year Allen had got rid of half the team by now and bought loads more in too. I bet he loves playing monopoly...there's something fun about buying and selling - especially when it's not your money.

One day, someone will find a nice retirement home for all the Franchise-related threads.

Probably in Luton.

Wahey, my very own demented stalker. There's me thinking that it's just famous people that get them.
