Thracian Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Not sure if Hinckley will do any better this coming season.Saw the play off final and think we blew it. As per usual last season, we took the lead then tried to hang onto it. We were by far the better team in the final but tried to sit back on the lead, we should have carried on pushing forward. Would have won the game then. See what happens this coming season, but am beginning to question managers tactics, if they continue to play like that. And you'd be right. The old "play out the last 10 minutes syndrome struck" and how they paid for it. The manager was experienced enough to know better but unlike you I think they will learn from the experience and go on to get promotion next season. They are a club that's steadily going the right way. Leicester Reserves games will give them much welcome additional income once more, the new training facilities will come into full use and everything seems to be there now for success.
City Fan Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Elliott and Taggart joined as Coaches today (For Hinckley). Gerry's getting about in his old age ain't he?!Was reading about it in the local paper and apprently Matty applied to for the Nuneaton Borough manager's job last December. Are you sure your not referring to an event at Hinckley where Elliott and Taggart are holding a speaker evening? Taggart signed for Tamworth for a start. And I haven't heard anything about this.

Matt Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 I thought Taggs signed as a player for Tamworth? Are you sure your not referring to an event at Hinckley where Elliott and Taggart are holding a speaker evening? Taggart signed for Tamworth for a start. And I haven't heard anything about this. Thats why I said Gerry's getting about abit in his old age in my first post. In the local paper (Evening News, Its more of a Nuneaton paper, but reports on news from Hinckley and Beduff, and the surrounding area) i'm sure 95% it said they had signed for Hinckley as coaches, just looked to the website and can't find anything and the papers a week or so old so havn't got that so I am questioning myself abit!
