craigadams22 Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Hello there you guys and gals, Craig A here. Now as some of you know I come from Hinckley, and over the past 2 to 3 year's I have become a big follower of Hinckley United FC's Football Club. There still in the Conference North Division - Non League, it's been renamed for this new season it's now called Blue Square Northern Division. This is Hinckley United's 11th season as a Non League club, and it's 11th year of being brought together as one club. Because originally there were two club's for the town of Hinckley, there was Hinckley Town and Hinckley Athletic. Here's there website: http://www.hinckleyunitedfc.co.uk/ Hinckley United sadly didn't get promotion last season because they lost to Farsley Celtic by 4 goals to 3, in the Conference North Play Off Final. But now today they've signed Gez Murphy from Nuneaton Borough FC. Please post in this topic Many Thanks Craig Adams 22

Looking forward to pre season friendly .
Gené and Tonic Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Gez Murphy? Wow I didn't think he'd leave Nuneaton, that's a really good signing.
Matt Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Gez Murphy? Wow I didn't think he'd leave Nuneaton, that's a really good signing. Don't get me wrong he is/was a good player for Nuneaton, but he is abit overated, He was one of the borough's better players and seeing as I don't go to that many games I can't give a decent report but last season some of his shooting was awful. Good luck Gezza! But not too much good luck, score a few OG's for them!

Manwell Pablo Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Gez Murphy? Wow I didn't think he'd leave Nuneaton, that's a really good signing. Thats what I thought, hopefully they can have a decent push for promotion this season.
Tevez Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Did Gez Murphy have something to do with Leicester once?
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Did Gez Murphy have something to do with Leicester once? Yeah we had him as a kid.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 But not in that way. PM'ed joke, not suitable for forum consumption.
Thracian Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Good bet for promotion this year. From what I gather some at the club were quite relieved not to go up this season.
JoeyB Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Good bet for promotion this year. From what I gather some at the club were quite relieved not to go up this season. How much will you be putting on then?
Thracian Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 How much will you be putting on then? I'll make my mind up after watching them play the friendlies against City and Brackley.
Leonisco Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Good bet for promotion this year. From what I gather some at the club were quite relieved not to go up this season. Why?
lookwhaticando Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Why? Probably the traditional "now isn't the time, because we'll just come straight back down" argument, I imagine. Take another year to prepare and go up with the intention and chance of staying up.

Gené and Tonic Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Must be getting really tired of saying it in Kettering then
Craig Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Must be getting really tired of saying it in Kettering then Fairly honest here. Don't try and cover up the disappointment.
MPH Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 Fairly honest here. Don't try and cover up the disappointment. interested in going to see a game this season for hinkley. how much does it cost to get it?
demon_dog Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Not sure if Hinckley will do any better this coming season. Saw the play off final and think we blew it. As per usual last season, we took the lead then tried to hang onto it. We were by far the better team in the final but tried to sit back on the lead, we should have carried on pushing forward. Would have won the game then. See what happens this coming season, but am beginning to question managers tactics, if they continue to play like that.
Matt Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Elliott and Taggart joined as Coaches today (For Hinckley). Gerry's getting about in his old age ain't he?! Was reading about it in the local paper and apprently Matty applied to for the Nuneaton Borough manager's job last December.

I thought Taggs signed as a player for Tamworth?
