jambo Posted 18 February 2005 Posted 18 February 2005 Hi foxes fans the will he wont he saga could be on the agenda again i see. will CL get the the ex jambos on board mmmm i just wonder if CL is the right man for the foxes. if you keep getting ex jambos are you looking to progress or stay put now none of the ex jambos are world class of the bunch maybury and kisnorbo are the best it shows lack of ambition by CL he left hearts for a new challenge i think the challenge must be to break the record for taking players from your old team but seriously if it were the other way round the players leaving foxes to go to hearts well they would excel in the spl as they have done but iam not so sure the other way round. i dont think CL is a good judge im not a great fan of MDV but he done the job just now CL let another striker who in my opinion pound for pound was a better player and goal scorer go on a free transfer the guy in question is andy kirk boston uniteds top goal scorer the guy scores for fun yet CL let him go for nothing nice one CL i will bet andy kirk moves to a bigger club and still scores he might even end up a leicester???? tip for sat hearts are 5/4 to beat motherwell. motherwell has players out with flu jambos full strength score motherwell 1 hearts 4 GET ON

After Kisnorbo is there really going to be any other players from Hearts joining Leicester? I'd guess not unless he ends up pinching one of those Lithuanians who tore Kilmarnock apart on Wednesday (great performance btw) who were brilliant. As for what Andy Kirk is doing, sure it's not bad, but Division 3 is a hellish league. I reckon Darren Mackie could get 25 goals in that league and despite his purple patch for Aberdeen this season, is probably still not the answer. Talking of comparing De Vries and Kirk. Where did Hearts finish when De Vries was getting a regular game? Even with Wyness playing poor, De Vries played well enough up front to help Hearts into 3rd. Comparing what Kirk is doing in Division 3 to what De Vries did in the SPL and Europe is ludicrous. Plus the fact is if they'd got rid of De Vries in the summer and kept Kirk it'd be interesting to see 3 midgets and McKenna trying to outmuscle some of the man mountain SPL defenders. Remember Braga away? If it wasn't for De Vries dragging his half fit carcass onto that pitch in Portugal then you probably wouldn't have had your little European adventure. But as we all know, Hearts fans can be extremely fickle. They only remember the last few weeks where De Vries struggled (again, while not being fully fit) and completely forget some of the blinding performances he put in. As for your tip for Saturday, Motherwell have had their way with Hearts this season, but after Wednesday's performance Hearts should go in with confidence and get a result. That said if you win 4-1 I'll cut off my balls a la the Welsh rugby fan.

Sure Andy Kirk is worth money. But not a lot. One season does not a striker make and Kirk did a big pile of nothing for years at Hearts IMO. It's easy to look at it with a bit of hindsight but being totally honest how many Hearts fans thought Levein was wrong for letting Kirk go? Not a lot. So with a bit of hindsight after a good run at a rubbish level suddenly Levein is not right for the Leicester job due to him releasing Kirk at Hearts? Everyone makes mistakes, but being honest I'd like to see Kirk bang them in at a higher level before I condemn Levein for that 'blunder'.

Alexikokopops Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 Enough of this Andy Kirk bigging up, he's no Simon Yeo <_<
step Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 There was rumours that Andy Kirk had been over to city for a trial. The outcome I dont know. Either way CL is just what we need at city and without him I am sure we would have been relegated, Anyone who thinks otherwise, does not understand how poor we where. CL had brought pride and passion back into a team of no hopers
JJ-AFC Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 Wouldn't call it an argument, more a reasoned debate. Motherwell 2-0 Hearts. Looks like my bollocks are staying intact.

I was surprised really after Wedensday but it seems like the whole season has been like that for many teams in the SPL. One blinding performance followed by an absolute howler. Strange really, but at least for once it's been fairly unpredictable in the SPL. Bar the Glasgow shites.
