The Reverend Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 So then how did everyone find this when you took yours? Was it a piece a cake, or require more work than you thought? Anyone got any tips or websites or anything to help me out, iv got a cd with mock tests on, so hopefully be ok with that, but any tips or anything, great! I've got mine tomorrow so any help much appreciated!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I found it pretty straightforward. I'm not sure what advice anyone can really give on it except to cram on the questions. Good luck.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I found it pretty straightforward. I'm not sure what advice anyone can really give on it except to cram on the questions.Good luck. finished it in 7 minutes I recall, prehaps was a bit too well prepared
The Reverend Posted 14 August 2007 Author Posted 14 August 2007 Thanks for the advice so far everyone but one question. Are the questions the same level of difficulty in the actual test, compared to the mock tests you get, because the mock ones im doing dont seem silly easy if you see what i mean, and i know most of it. Basically are the questions in the test actually easy, because everyone i'v spoke to said its easy!!

I went in with that attitude 1st time thinking it would be piss, I thought it was but my result didnt agree with me
FilboFox Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Yes... My revision really looked like it would be easy but the test was much harder... I passed second time though so no need to worry too much. Just remember the really important stuff and ignore the silly questions as you'll remember them because of their stupidity.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I found it pretty straightforward. Just make sure you don't rush it and make any stupid mistakes, same as any test really. I went through the Highway Code and did a number of mock papers and breezed through it. The hazard perception thing's fine too, it takes a lot of clicks for you to fail a particular clip so I clicked at anything that could possibly result in a hazard. Lamp post on the side of the road? Car parked in drive? HAZARD. Worked a treat.

Wils Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 If you keep going over and over the questions youll be fine.
The Reverend Posted 14 August 2007 Author Posted 14 August 2007 best of luck chum. you'll bre glad you're taking it now, because i heard the cost of the theory test is going up and the amount of questions......jesus i'm so glad i did all this 15 years ago! Yeh correct, from Sept the 3rd there will be 50 (as opposed to the 35 now) questions (43/50 to pass) and the price goes up from £21.50 to £28.50 or something like that. Robbing b@stards!
Stuliasz Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I don't know anything about the hazard test, after my time unfortunately. As for the questions, its probably a bit late to say this now but I found the best way was to just get the book that has the complete question bank in. I crammed them all in 2 days before the test and got full marks but as its too late to do that, just relax, take your time, and use your common sense.
Chriss Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Theory test should be easy mate, make sure you double check all the answers and that Hazard did seem abit hit and miss when i did mine tho good luck
The Reverend Posted 14 August 2007 Author Posted 14 August 2007 Another thing guys, do you need your bloody paper license when you go to the centre, some have said yes, some said no, because i cant find mine for shit!! Im sure i didnt get one?! Cheers
Chriss Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I was told to take my "counterpart" with me, id imagine having just your licence you will be ok tho
Spee-d Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I remember taking my provisional license and a paper license. It should have come with a letter? Most of the questions will be straight forward, but go over the road signs some of them can be tricky. Just google them. The CDs are best to practice hazard perception. Good luck.
Rossatron Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 i couldnt find my paper license so they let me off, but he said u will defo need one when taking your practical test, but i found it later on that day after i passed, with full marks on the questions and scraping through with 44 on the hazard
