DB11 Posted 15 August 2007 Share Posted 15 August 2007 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1092258,00.html Leicester City's Walkers Stadium has been selected as the venue for an England U21 international qualifier. Stuart Pearce's U21 team will take on Montenegro on Friday, October 12 in the first competitive international of the season on home soil. Kick-off is 8pm. The match will be a crucial fixture in the Young Lions' bid to qualify for the 2009 European U21 Championships to be held in Sweden. Tickets will cost just £10 for adults and £5 concessions. Pearce's team reached the semi-finals of the Championship in Holland this summer. Many of the stars of that tournament are still eligible for the U21 team and will be joined by a fresh crop of talented young English players. England U21 Coach Stuart Pearce said: "Leicester City have an excellent stadium and we hope a big crowd will turn out to support the U21s. "It will be an important qualifier for us following on from away matches in September." The U21s open their season with a friendly against Romania at Bristol City on Tuesday, August 21. The team then travel to play back-to-back European Championship qualifiers against Montenegro (7 September) and Bulgaria (11 September). Tickets will go on sale on Friday (August 17) from 9am priced £10 adults, £5 concessions from the Ticket Hotline 0870 499 1884 or online at www.lcfc.com Supporters can also email the Leicester City Ticket Office at [email protected] Group discounts will be available via TheFA.com, while group booking forms are available to download below.
