I know this is a minor competition if we are being honest, especially as its in inaugural one but there is nothing better than your nation winning a big event. I cant begin to explain the pride I had when Greece won Euro 2004 as its almost impossible to explain but I can assure you that the beer was flowing and sleep wasnt an option. I must admit to not being in the country when England won the world cup so dont know if people felt similarly but I just hope that England manage to win a major footballing comp in the not too distant future because the place will explode. It was great watching the big games at leicester Square or some packed nightclub turned sports bar in the summer and people always get happier after a great result. A World Cup or Euro Championship win would just be amazing to be part of.
