coale39 Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Erm.... what are daemon tools? Do you have a downloaded version? It is used to make the computer think that you have the cd in the drive.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Do you have a downloaded version? It is used to make the computer think that you have the cd in the drive. Yeah I have a downloaded version. I'm assuming you have a way that you can download patches without messing the game up? If you could help me with going about this I'd be very grateful
Ozwin Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 When you open Daemon Tools there'll be a logo on the task bar at the bottom right of your screen. Right click it, click VirtualCD/DVD ROM, Mount and then select the file you want to open. Badda bing, badda bung, it opens and you have yourself a working file. I havn't read what you need opening but that's how you basically do it.
coale39 Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Yeah I have a downloaded version.I'm assuming you have a way that you can download patches without messing the game up? If you could help me with going about this I'd be very grateful The way I do it, as you see in my earlier post, is using daemon tools and YASU. If you are using this method to run FM08 then download the update and apply as you would normally. However, if you use a no cd crack to run it you will need the updated crack. Probably the .exe file but im not sure as I dont use this method.

Yeah I've downloaded Daemon Tools and Yasu, copied Yasu to Daemon Tools folder, I assume now if I want to play FM with an update I just have to cloak it? Hmmm, it's not working...
The Reverend Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Yeah I've downloaded Daemon Tools and Yasu, copied Yasu to Daemon Tools folder, I assume now if I want to play FM with an update I just have to cloak it? Hmmm, it's not working... Double click the actual crack mate, thats what i did when i got my version and it worked, whereas when i clicked the actual football manager icon, it wouldnt work.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Double click the actual crack mate, thats what i did when i got my version and it worked, whereas when i clicked the actual football manager icon, it wouldnt work. What type of file should the crack be?
General Smuts Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 Can anyone pop me a link for a no cd crack version of FM08 please? My mates desperate for the game but is a cheap motherbitch! I on the otherhand bought my copy completely playing against student stereotype! Anyone want a network game at some point? Never played one but wanna give it a go.
coale39 Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 What type of file should the crack be? You dont need a crack! All I did was install the update. If your using the same methods the update shouldn't affect it. Remember when you cloak daemon tools to minimise YASU. You should have the two icons in your tray. What is the error?

General Smuts Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 Which version? I've not downloaded the patch yet as i was gonna wait for the real one i.e. not beta. My mate - he's not bothered which version

General Smuts Posted 3 November 2007 Posted 3 November 2007 FIFA Manager? GTFO of this topic, we don't like your kind. Bloody Heathens!
The Reverend Posted 3 November 2007 Posted 3 November 2007 What type of file should the crack be? Im not sure mate, it just says application when i go onto properties. If u used the same *cough* torrent *cough* as me, then you should have 2/3 round icons with a red background and a grey 08 icons in program files > sports interactive > football manager 2008. Now i just double clicked on the 'fm' one and it loaded up no problem, then just created a shortcut for it and off we go... Hope that helps, if you havent already done it.
FilboFox Posted 3 November 2007 Author Posted 3 November 2007 Is there a function somewhere that allows you to remove the Under 18's and Reserve teams from playing in competitions? I was just wondering if it might be in the editor...
potter3 Posted 3 November 2007 Posted 3 November 2007 Is there a function somewhere that allows you to remove the Under 18's and Reserve teams from playing in competitions? I was just wondering if it might be in the editor... yeah you can in the editor I thnk, and you can decline invites into the U18 and reserve league at the start of second season, but why?
FilboFox Posted 3 November 2007 Author Posted 3 November 2007 yeah you can in the editor I thnk, and you can decline invites into the U18 and reserve league at the start of second season, but why? Where in the editor... I can't find it... P.S. I don't like having so many sets of results... I know, I know... you all think I'm odd for saying this but its messy... I am a perfectionist and sometimes the page for fixtures for the Under 18's and Reserves is way too messy! It's just me... If anyone can offer help on how to withdraw them from their respective Under 18's and Reserve leagues I'd be very grateful.
