Alexikokopops Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'm running the Coventry half marathon the day after the S****horpe match (21st October). Me and a bunch of friends are running to raise money for the Isabel Hospice. The Isabel Hospice provided care to my best friend's dad before he sadly passed away from cancer earlier this year, which is the reason I gave up smoking as well. Hopefully we can raise a lorra lorra dosh to help them continue to care for more people. There's more information here (plus this is the link where you donate), every little helps. Plus, if you're a UK tax payer, an extra 28% of what you sponsor gets donated too (Just Giving reclaims tax). Ta in advanceThanks to anyone who does sponsor, it's greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Kokopops (21) Edit: I'm Alex Marsh when you go on that website, for those that didn't make the link

Raj Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 My last years leicester half time was- 1:53:24 KUMAR, Rajesh I'll give you a fiver If you run it in under 1 hour 50 mins! (Yes i am a tight arsed bastard!) Mind you if my achilles tendon heals up and i do the Leicester Half again this year, you can return the favour. I usually run for Loros which is a similar hospice to the one you are doing it for. My Uncle died last year of the bastard cancer. Good luck with the run (P.S Are you sure you wanna goto Scunnie the day before a half marathon????)
Alexikokopops Posted 21 October 2007 Author Posted 21 October 2007 So it was today. Considering I haven't been able to run for 4/5 of the last 5/6 weeks, I injured my hand running last week with a good chance it might be infected, and I managed to fall incredibly ill yesterday (surviving on a combination of Lemsip Max and Yorkshire Tea) I actually managed to do the half marathon in about 1 hour 56 minutes. Bloody ridiculous. Official time goes up tomorrow I think.

Alexikokopops Posted 21 October 2007 Author Posted 21 October 2007 Boo hiss! Check out this finely toned body. That's what three and a half weeks of solid drinking does to a man.
