Vennegoor10 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 how scared would you be? He must be so apprehensive to start playing again, just imagine that first sprint in training, just shows his commitment and love of the game, the fact that he wants to come back and play again. In other news, heard from a half-decent source (family friend) tha we have more loans lined up from the premiership.
DB11 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I don't know if scared is the right word. I'm sure he'd be worried in case his heart went wrong again, but if he has all the reassurance from the doctors etc. then he'll be ok. However, if there was the slightest doubt I'd probably quit football for a few years until that doubt is 100% removed.
Ultra Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 He is only in the early stages of recovery. The idea of him training again, let alone playing, may still be many months away. I'd imagine he'll be on medication and will be under instruction to avoid strenuous exercise. Until he recovers his health, which is the most important thing to him or anybody else, speculation about his career prospects is irrelevant.
Webbo Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I read somewhere yesterday that he was hoping to start training again in about a month.

I dont think the 'threat' will ever be removed if it has happened before. I'd be more scared if I played against Forest on Tuesday and saw the away dressing room again.
David Guiza Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I dont think the 'threat' will ever be removed if it has happened before.I'd be more scared if I played against Forest on Tuesday and saw the away dressing room again. the players must still have the images in there heads and seeing the dressing room wouldnt help

Some people can put things like this at the back of their minds and get on with it with an almost "when its my time, its my time" attitude. Others will live in fear almost and may never recover or even be the same person through the fear. Im not sure what kind of a character CC is but I hope he has a happy life. One thing that passes through a sicko like me`s mind is I bet he isnt too eager between the sheets with his missus for fear that he may strain the old ticker!? If he passes a session there we should get him back on the training pitch
