MPH Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 you could also argue that mandaric had already decided to fire him by this point, can't imagine him and/or the players wouldn't have been given some kind of a hint or a heads up... the amount of rumours flying around in the week or so before his departure suggests exactly that!!

Earlier today, there was an article on the beeb that said Grant was pondering his future - wondering whether he should quit. Just a few hours later that article has morphed into the story about him actually leaving. So it was properly mutual consent... not "mutual consent".

They looked desperately poor at QPR last night, and given that they sacked Worthington when they were in a better position, it wasn't really a surprise - albeit down to 'Mutual Consent'. Another coach who failed to make the grade as a manager.
