Scow Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 Maybe this.... Walker Stearman - Heath - Dabizas - Maybury Gillespie - Williams - Tiatto - Stewart Connolly - MDV Or this... Walker Maybury - Heath - Dabizas - Stewart Gillespie - Williams - Tiatto - Hughes/Nalis Connolly - MDV Or maybe this... Walker Maybury - Heath - Dabizas - Stewart Gillespie - Williams - Tiatto - Hughes - Nalis MDV -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can see CL adopting the second line up. However, if he requires width on both flanks, then he may push Stewart forward to left wing, although that would disrupt the back 4... The reason I have put Tiatto in the centre of midfield in all those line ups is that we need a ball winner in there, and no one else offers that apart from Gudjonsson. Dawson could do that job, but he's unlikely to be involved.

davieG Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 This is a game we must not lose, not just because it's a local rival but we mustn't get dragged into the relegation mire. I think CL will treat is as an away game and go for a 451 as per Reading. I don't think he will mess with the defence so reckon the line up will be Walker Maybury, Heath, Dabizas, Stewart Gillespie, Hughes, Gemmill, Williams, Tiatto MDV The midfield I believe will include Gemmill because of his experience and he's more of a ball winner than Nalis + CL obviously rates him Subs Lars, Stearman, Connolly, Nalis, Canero or Wright
SilverFox Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 I reckon Dawson will get on the bench this week. Being so short on holding midfielders it'd be foolish not to!
Anish Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 I'd go with 4-5-1 and go with Scowy's third choice. At least we'll have a few midfielders getting up to support MDV with Williams, Hughes and Nalis all playing. And at least it will show Connolly that he must perform to stay in the team.
