Meanest defence in the league

For meanest defence in the league, I see the most negative style of football Leicester has played, less adventurous than even Levein. The back three are a good unit, (which is good because when they're asked to play in a back four, they're a bomb scare) but the basic shape of the team is one of 8 defensive players (I've included Clemence in that as he sits deep and protects the back three) and 3 attacking players.

That is dour boring football, which would be made bearable if one of three attacking players was able to create a piece of magic. As they're not, we have resorted to playing for set pieces around the area and feeding off opponents' mistakes.

Defending with 7/8 players all the time tends to have that effect.

All the players looked organized and put in the work behind the ball but I cant remember Newton and Chambers making that many tackles to warrant their inclusion. Im sure a disciplined but more attack minded player or two would have given us more and done their defensive duties from midfield.

Weso must surely return to the team for Shef U but I dont think we have anyone at the club who can create from the middle of the park. Maybe thats one of the loan targets?

Gradel (can we get him back?)

Yes, we could get him back.

We probably shouldn't though (and we won't). The poor lad has enough on his plate without him being required to propel us up the league practically single handedly.
