Ultra Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 It seems he's called time on himself - after just FORTY-ONE days at the club. His reign wasn't entirely bad - we'll fondly remember the two cup wins, but the form in the league was woeful, especially at home. He just seemed set on repeating the same mistakes that he made at his previous club. Why Bolton think he can make a go of managing in the Premier League, after his recent failures in the Championship and League 1, is one of the biggest mysteries of our time. Still, ours not to reason why, but to smile and wave goodbye..
Wils Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 How is it stupid ? 41 days is hardly enough time for a manager.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Seen more than enough of him from his time at the Baggies and Forest to know what kind of manager he is, he's done little to disprove me since he got here, I haven't sang his name once (apart from Ginger Mourinho obvioulsy thats just funny) and I'm of the same opinion now as I was when he got here, he shouldn't be here.

I can't write it any better so amen to that only without the chanting Ginger Mourinho, as I couldn't bring myself to do it. In a perverse way, I have to give some credit to Milan albeit through unintended consequence. It maybe unintentional, but we've appointed a rubbish manager for just 5 games, who hasn't really ruined our season because he's not had enough time, and now it seems that we're going to get some compensation from Bolton. Sounds like a good deal for us.
Jon the Hat Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 His team where widely derided within the fan base for their performance last night. It is very simple. If you play dour, defensive football you have to win, because the fans will be on your back if you don't. If you play attractive attacking football and score goals, the fans are far more likely to support their team vocally even in defeat, thus giving confidence to continue to attack. Megson brand of football is doomed to fail more often that it will succeed. Simple. And we get a miserable time watching in the meantime.
