WetFlannel Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 We watched de vries come back and looked as if he really put the effort in and today kenton looked one of our best players. Transfer listed yet playing maybe better than before. You look at our squad and think... out of 16 signings how many are capable of cementing a first team place. Fulop, Clem, John, maybe Chambers. Our mean defence earlier in the season consisted alot of: Stearmen---N'gotty---Kisnorbo---Mcauley-----Mattock/Sheehan - 1 new signing is included in that likely defence What a waste we have forked out on and yet were probaly worse than last season with almost the same team with a couple of good additions out of an ever growing list of players eating up our wage bill. Nice to see at least some of last seasons players coming back and looking more commited with most of these 'premiership' guiding squad...

WetFlannel Posted 10 November 2007 Author Posted 10 November 2007 He didnt play today? i mean earlier in the season against watford for example
Nath Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 TBH De Vries is worse than what we have got. He just want's it, and tries his socks off. Where as the bunch we have atm are in it for the money.

If anyone is in it for the money it's Mark De Vries! You should read what he said in the programme at the start of the season. Apparently he's going to try really hard this season because his contract ends next year.
Ashley Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 De vries is the most flukeyist striker i've ever seen.

lcfc_jme Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 De Vries wouldn't have done any worse than the 5 strikers we had on the field today.
WetFlannel Posted 10 November 2007 Author Posted 10 November 2007 De Vries wouldn't have done any worse than the 5 strikers we had on the field today. must be hard for campbell in all fairness with all this hoofing to him, hes blatantly not that type of player and i cant see how he fits into our system... not his fault imo
Nath Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 De Vries wouldn't have done any worse than the 5 strikers we had on the field today. To right. Infact he would of done better. Even with that broken toe!

He has no vision and no awareness. There were a few occasions he could have looked up and played a team-mate into a better position, but instead tried to do things himself and lost the ball. He's meant to be quite pacey - when the hell did he use that pace to run at defenders and take the ball by them? I didn't see it. To right.Infact he would of done better. Even with that broken toe! I wouldn't say he'd have done better exactly, but there's no way he'd have made less of an impact to the game than Fryatt or John today.

To be honest if he wasnt injured id be playing him, most physical presence we have as a striker.
