Guest Daniel Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 He's well and truely shit, and its a ridiculous comment to make.
filbertway Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 What left footer would you suggest to play left wing for england then?
Ricey Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 McClaren has done nothing?? The Carling Cup is nothing then? I wouldn't mind Curbishley but I think MacClaren will be better. Winning the Carling Cup with all the money he has had is basically nothing IMO. This is the England national team we are talking about, you have to of done more than winning the Carling Cup to be suitable.
filbertway Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Harry redknapp could be a good option for manager. He has worked miracles at pompey
Ricey Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Don't forget me . I agree, Lampard ia a better player than scholesey and had a better tournment. Who could play left wing, Scowcroft maybe . Only kidding i think we should give alan thompson another chance. Scholes is a better player than Lampard simple as that. Lampard was schockinly poor against Portugal.
Oli Posted 3 August 2004 Author Posted 3 August 2004 i think micky adams I think your a knob. Just be sensible for once. Your making this forum look like a kiddy's place where you can't suggest anyhting without being immature
Guest Daniel Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 McClaren definatly aint good enough for England! He aint done enough to be made England manager, Curbishlys won nothing but hes better than McClaren, hes won the Carling cup yeah but with the money he's had its not alot really.
Ricey Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 There have been some amazingly bad views on this thread, some people need there eyes testing I think. 3 pages and most of it brainless comments.
Oli Posted 3 August 2004 Author Posted 3 August 2004 Well said Ricey. I said McClaren because he is meant to very good tactically and he is a strong contender for the job.
Guest Daniel Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Ricey, round up what you think in this thread is brainless. I agreed Gerrard should fill the attacking role. McClaren aint good enough to be manager. Curbishly is better than McClaren. Which of that is brainless?
Oli Posted 3 August 2004 Author Posted 3 August 2004 He is on about Alan Thompson as scholes replacement and Micky as Sven replacement i think.
filbertway Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 i didn't mean thompson as scholes replacement, lampard should replace him i think. I was just asking who we all thought should be given a go at left wing!
Ricey Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Ricey, round up what you think in this thread is brainless.I agreed Gerrard should fill the attacking role. McClaren aint good enough to be manager. Curbishly is better than McClaren. Which of that is brainless? Nothing you said is brainless. I was more on about Pele's and fibertway's comments.
Guest Guest Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 scholes was a good player for england but his form has suffered in the last couple of uears on the international scene. this could bring a bit of balance to the side. butt could be defensive midfield. lampard attacking. gerrard on the left but making central forward runs when england atttack. and beckam on the right. ------------------------------------butt----------------------------------------------------- beckam--------------------------lampard---------------------------------- > <gerrard>>>>>

Sparky Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 we have plenty of players to replace scholes but no englishman who is good enough for england manager , although he not english i would love to see martin o neill get it
Ash Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Im not suprised , his England career has been horrid for the last three years
Oli Posted 3 August 2004 Author Posted 3 August 2004 I wouldn't say it was horrid. I would just say he went downhill abit.
Ricey Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 I wouldn't say it was horrid. I would just say he went downhill abit. Scholes played very well for Endland these last few years, just not as good as his performances for Man Utd.
Scow Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Alan Thompson is not international quality. McLaren has done nothing to warrant the England job - Over £30 Million spent, and only one trophy to date, and mediocre league finishes is a poor return relatively speaking. Curbishley would be the better option.
Pele Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Yer but what has Curbishley done at charlton Try and get Martin O'neill
Scow Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 Yer but what has Curbishley done at charlton Try and get Martin O'neill Martin O'Neill would never manage England. Curbishley has transformed Charlton from a club on the brink of extinction, to top 6 contenders in the Premier League with very little money spent.
Pele Posted 3 August 2004 Posted 3 August 2004 guess so ive hurd Peter taylor might be a replace meant it was on team talk i think
