Has anyone got Sawdust yet? Just wanted to know if it was worth shelling out on. I'm a big fan of the Killers but know that this is just b-sides.

Got it but not listened to it yet. The B sides to the Hot Fuss singles were terrible so I am not holding my breath over this one.

But if you like the Killers try Luna Halo. Its got to be one of the best albums this year for me. Amazon has some samples here:-

i've got it, and i think some songs on it are very good and overall it is a good album. If you like The Killers you will like it, Shadowplay their Joy Division cover is good and Under The Gun which was a B side to Somebody told me i think that is also really good.

I second the Luna Halo recommendation. Top album. Out-Killers the Killers and adds much more than they've ever offered. Great songs...

I have to say, I like Sawdust. It has some good tracks on it and I think it beats Sam's Town, which really disappointed me.

Hairy, I shall be listening to Luna Halo in about an hour on your recommendation. If it is as good as you say, you can be my new musical recommender type person.

Not that I have an old one - I just need someone with their finger on the musical pulse, so to speak. Too many people on here keep recommending ©rap.

Not one bit. LH have a much heavier sound than the K's. The K's try - try - and have one anthemic track, LH don't.

The album is ok in it's own right and there are a couple of really decent tracks, but it's not for my iPod. I'll stick with the Killers until you have something else to offer.

I think they sound just like the better bits of Hot Fuss. But there you go.

If I am to accept this roll as your musical director then I need to know what you like, really like and what you dislike.

It's ok, nothing great though and you'll have half the songs (recycled album tracks/the 2 bonus songs off Sams Town). Tranqualise and Romeo and Juliet are great (the latter isn't much different to the original though). Get it if you're well off for cash, otherwise i wouldn't worry too much.
