shez Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Over the last 4-5 seasons many players have come to Leicester and have either become worse players or just dont seem to perform well Ever since we got relegated We have signed a number of decent players or atleast players that have played well for other clubs. Then for some strange reason these players just cant perform in a Leicester shirt! Either these players come to City just for a final pay off or they dont see players around them trying hard and so the negativity rubs of on the new signings! Unless this changes sadly i dont see us ever challenging at the right end of the table. Against Plymouth we looked so poor and not a single player gave 100%. Neither Hayles or Howard looked up for a game and it seems as with Clemence these are players who have come and just dont seem to have it in them anymore! Discuss!
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I agree about the decent players bit... Maybe this club has a curse!! They seem to stop perfroming when in a Leicester City shirt!!
MC Prussian Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Compare that statement with the squad under Martin O'Neill and find out where the Marshalls, Taggarts, Guppys, Walshs, Heskeys came from and for what amount of money.

I thought he would be one of the best signings of the close season when he joined. Personally, I think he's been poor on the whole. Also the same story with Matt Oakley, though admittedly he's only played a few games, but has been average so far in those appearances

I have no recorded evidence of this but the guy who sits in front of me says that Ollie did a Q&A in Kibworth or Kilworth recently. Apparently he said that even though he got rid of a lot of the crap, there were still too many mercenaries on the books. No names, but still 'too many' on the books. Anyone go to this or know of the names?
