Seems to have had a few OK games and couldn't have done much about the goals, though I can't speak for this evening. His kicking has much improved. Our problem is hardly conceeding goals is it? I think you should look elsewhere if you're trying to pinpoint the cause of our downfall.

I don't know where he comes into it. We must have had four defenders playing head tennis before McAuley, I think, bizarrely headed the ball backwards and presented John with a sitter - at least what was a sitter to him!

As for Fryatt's miss, while I felt for him, how the bloody hell he missed the target from their when unchallenged I've no idea.

He went to come and claim the ball and stopped. A dwarf would have beat John to the ball.

His kicking may have got better, but lets face it, kicking alone doesn't make a good goalkeeper.
