SussexFox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 We will go down now no chance of us winning the 3 home games when we can't score goals, i wouldnt even be surprised if we dont beat scunny on Saturday - West Brom was another false dawn, a win against ten men
Plymouth Pete Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 You are not going down, I have just looked at your fixture list, you have S****horpe, Colchester and the Wendies at home. Win these and you will stay up, simple as. Any other points you pick up are a bonus. The Foxes will stay up!

Ultra Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 I said no... and this post by Ultra is utter crap. You think that because Ollie is in charge we are going down? B0LLOCKS!!! He's already shown that he knows how to get the team winning... its just that our players, for some reason... can't quite seem to put it into practice when it comes to doing it on the big stage! OLLIE CANNOT PLAY THAT MATCHES FOR THEM!!! THE PLAYERS HAVE TO TAKE THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE RESPONSIBILITY!!!Ollie tells them what to do, in theory, it should work... He motivates them... we always start brightly and then WHAM... we let in a goal or we miss several chances and the confidence is gone. I'm surprised Ollie hasn't given up on the players... we are letting them get away with it and blaming Ollie which is ABSURD! WHY THE HELL CAN'T THE PLAYERS GET IT TOGETHER!!!! I'm glad I seem to have wound you up, although your irrational and impassioned defence of Holloway on other threads suggests you were close to losing it anyway. Everything you said could equally have applied to Rob Kelly last year. And Kelly, despite having no money to spend during his time here, still has a better win record than Holloway does. Kelly was rightly deemed to be out of his depth as manager of this club. And Holloway has shown no reason to suggest he's any different. There is no sight so pitiful as watching a duck so terminally lame it can only wallow in its own filth. The kindest thing to do is to put it out of its misery. That's the point we've now reached with Holloway.
Geo V Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 We need a change in fortunes but I think there are 3 worse clubs than us and we will just about keep our Championship status IMO
Thracian Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 We need a change in fortunes but I think there are 3 worse clubs than us and we will just about keep our Championship status IMO Unfortunately our results so far don't suggest there are necessarily three worse clubs than us.
Ultra Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 We need a change in fortunes but I think there are 3 worse clubs than us and we will just about keep our Championship status IMO Scunny, Colchester, and who else?
Geo V Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Scunny, Colchester, and who else? Some of the ones above us are garbage and its amazing to check the table out and see them above us but Im hoping the problems at Coventry and Sheff Weds are deeper than ours and one of those two will join the two clubs you mentioned.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 I can see Barnsley being dragged into it aswell. Winning there for the second season running would be great. We'd need it. At least today has made every remaining game more interesting. Going to Sheff Utd, Barnsley and Stoke will be even more nerve racking now. The good thing is ... Barnsley, Cov and Saints all have tough run-ins in comparison to ours.. Sheff Wed are definitely safe !! Colchester and S****horpe - we have no choice but to win... which we should do... hopefully Weds are safe, if we're not, by the time we play them
lcfc_jme Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 The good thing is ... Barnsley, Cov and Saints all have tough run-ins in comparison to ours.. Sheff Wed are definitely safe !! Colchester and S****horpe - we have no choice but to win... which we should do... hopefully Weds are safe, if we're not, by the time we play them Just as we had no choice but to beat Preston at home t'other week. We're bound to get beat by Scunthorpe and Colchester at home. It'll be a case of sitting a well-organised group of 10 behind the ball, and then scoring on a counter-attack or from a set-piece, or the wonderstrike which invariably seems to go in against us, and hold out for a scrappy, undeserved 1-0 win. The writing's on the wall. I hope I'm proven wrong but I can't see it at the minute.
Ultra Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 But we've had THREE relegation six-pointers in recent weeks, and lost all of them! Unless opponents have a rush of blood (like Darren Purse or Luke Moore), we don't look like scoring. The current bunch of players appear incapable of responding to whatever instructions the management give them. The change of manager at this stage last season gave us the impetus we needed to collect points, and also revived confidence among fans. A similar action is required now.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Its a tough one to call, funnily enough two weeks ago I would have said yes we are heading down, but now I think no we are not. There are two factors to consider here. Firstly our run in is by far the "easist" (if thats the correct terminology) and we should be able to just about scrape together enough points to be safe. If we don't win the games we need to then we honestly deserve to go down. Secondly while I am pessimistic about us picking up points at home to teams like S****horpe etc I still can't see other teams (like Southampton and Coventry) doing that much better than us. Looking at Southampton's run in for example I can only see them picking up a maximum of 3-4 points, thats why I feel they will go down. We shall know better after the S****horpe game next week, which I think we will actually win.
