davieG Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 We've needed these players all season, and so far, the majority have not performed. I would sack them at the end of the season.Depending on our situation, some may leave anyway. It will be interesting to see who steps up to the plate and deals with it. After all is said and done, they're the ones responsible for getting us into this mess. They should deal with it. You can't simply sack players though, that's partly the reason managers get all the stick on forums and players get let of lightly - apart from Dodds and Shush! everyone else has at least one more year (8) on their contract with 7 of them having at 2 and 7 having 3 years and by far the vast majority have been signed up this year on lucrative contracts and will cost far more than the dross Levein signed to get rid of them.
filbertway Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 We should play like swansea. Genuine wingers, centre backs and full backs who will hold the ball and look for a pass, attacking in numbers and always trying to find space for a pass. They're one of the best footballing teams I've seen this season.

Ultra Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 Some of the players need sacking not the manager. IH is trying to do a good job, it's just a shame some of the players don't show a little more initiative and perform for a least two games in a row, not just one.I wish I was paid £10000 a week for hoofing a ball 50 foot in the air. I don't doubt that. The problem is that he's failing, and quite badly at that! He has a fairly large squad to pick from, so if the team he selects doesn't perform, ultimately the buck stops with him.
filbertway Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 What, the same team that were not just beaten, but trounced, by Havant & Waterlooville? That exact same team. Well probably not the same team, but you know what I mean.

Ian Holloway is 'trying' If thats the case there are no bad managers
Thracian Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 What, the same team that were not just beaten, but trounced, by Havant & Waterlooville? I'm not at all sure we wouldn't get beaten by Havant and Waterlooville at the moment. Especially if we'd won the previous game!
