Finchy Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 WHAT A GAME!!! Incredible, it made me ask myself why the **** i bother with City. So exciting from start to finish and we won, ca't believe it TIGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRS
SemperEadem Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 Was such a great game, it had such a tense final 10 minutes those tigers boys really showed passion today.
Sparky Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 i was slagging Goodey to fook in the early stages but when the pressure was on he held his nerve brilliantly
Finchy Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 i was slagging Goodey to fook in the early stages but when the pressure was on he held his nerve brilliantly Yeah me too, the first one he missed was terrible. But good on him, he was superb in the second half and he won us the game. Did you see Cipriani got injured for Wasps as well? That could be good for us, although obviously it's bad for him .
lildave3 Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 Pleased they won, sounded very dramatic! Hope they go on and win now, not that they deserve it over the course of the season
Ultra Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Ended up losing 26-16 today. A dire first half and more poor kicking from Goode did for us in the end. Wasps were mentally far tougher than us, but a lot of that is down to the players, not the coach.
Finchy Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Yep, it's crucial in games like that for Goode to be on form and he just wasn't today, i could have made 2 of those kicks. If he had been kicking well we would have done it i'm sure. The first half performance was terrible from everyone tho, that was the big problem, we should never have let them batter us like that.
Ultra Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 Absolutely - and it's not like it's the first time Wasps have done this... They have a formidable record at Twickenham, which isn't surprising as they have 50000 braying toffs turn up for their once-a-season outing. Hope Loffreda stays though. He can clear some of the deadwood out over the summer and bring some quality forwards in.
