Jordan Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 It would have been nice to at least see Leicester City stay up. A death in the family has made it a sad week. Leicester's relegation and the New York Rangers being eliminated from the NHL playoffs denied me two chances to smile today. But there's probably a Southampton fan somewhere who has recently lost his family, life savings and use of his legs due to a horrible house fire. He also supports every team that is in last place of all of the major North American sports leagues. To you, Mr. Unlucky Saints Fan, I hope you got to enjoy the outcome of today's Coca-Cola Football League Championship matches!
PAULCFC Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Could'n't get a ticket today despite going to alot of away games and all the home ones.usually don't bother watching the L1 Games on the Championship which has just finished.....but i did tonite!
pauliepaul Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Home, away... wherever we played, we just weren't good enough apart from the odd match... its just depressing that this year, it has taken us down... good post realistic assessment. if i were a fan i would worry about div one or the third division. they will battle like hell and wont be any mugs will meanerwallet be up for it???
AoWW Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I played football today, and i got my little mate to shout the scores of the championship from the sidelines. I dont think iv had such and up and down day in my life before! I was pleased to be playing my first competitive match for a long while, and then results seemed to be going wel, but then suddenly it all went well. My team won 13 VS 2. but i didnt celebrate any of the goals, i almost scred myself and i still didnt celebrate. The final whistle of our game sounded and someone told me leicester were relegated. i just colapsed into heep on the centre circle of the pitch and cried my little heart out. The banter from the plymouth and West brom suppporters at my local club was awful. I got injured again today aswell, my knee didnt stand up to the game and my ankle swelled up like a baloon. Today has been awful. Once id hit the deck after the match no-one was going to move me, my head was in my hands and no-one could get a word out of me. i was just dejected so much. I left my boots and city shirt hanging in the changing rooms, i just couldnt take it home with me. I had to go to work tonight aswell, and well it was the longest 5 hours of my life. just wanted to come home, rest my knee and cry. which is what im doing now. i love you all!!!! City for pormotion next season Hey you, Sorry i wasn't more chatty on msn tonight - i just really wasn't in the mood, to be honest. We'll talk soon, though.
demon_dog Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Bloody hell, it must have been a shock for some people!! A Forest fan has bought me a pint tonight and sympathised with us, he was looking forward to playing us next season.
FilboFox Posted 5 May 2008 Author Posted 5 May 2008 I'm 16, and I will happily admit I cried my eyes out down in the bit in the where the turnstiles are...I'm just so gutted and it really hasn't sunk in yet that I have followed the worst ever Leicester City team with all my heart and soul...and they couldn't even score one ****ing goal. Gutted Sounds like me... except I was at home on my own crying my eyes out... Still in shock and misery... next year is going to be horrid.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I went to watch the game today at Bar Sport in Loughborough. I went on my own due to the fact that all of my mates had either gone to the game, were playing football or don't support Leicester but thought it wouldn't matter because there was bound to be lots of fellow City fans down there watching. I was right. Was a good atmosphere in there. There was at least one Hull City, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday supporter and a few Forest supporters around the place but that added to the occasion really. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a game, can't imagine what it was like actually at the match! Really hit home tonight when looking at the teams definitely in League One next season. We've only got ourselves to blame, it was in our own hands and we chucked it away.
