I recently started a contact lens trial as I got fed up with glasses. I was watching t.v on Friday night, and there is a poster just behind my t.v. With my right eye closed, the white writing on the black poster was slightly blurred, causing it to appear faintly below the actual writing. This problem is not noticeable with most things and doesn't occur with the right eye. I went and took my lenses out and put my glasses on, my left eye was quite blood shot and the problem was still there and still is now. Is it possible to scratch my eye with the lens and cause a blur? I have never noticed the problem before and seems too much of a coincidence for me to notice it on the day my eye was red. I also have astigmatism in the left eye and don't know if that could maybe cause it or whether this is something that can happen with contact lenses.

Go to an opthalmologist asap if I were you, no point trying to self diagnose.

I remember when I first started wearing lenses my eyes were very similar and it maybe your eyes getting used to the lenses. Have you got special lenses to cope with the astigmatism? or did they just give you normal ones? because there are special lenses for that condition. I would go back and tell them about it if they don't already know and they should sort it.

Hope that helps

Thankyou. Am going back today, they mentioned the special lenses but my astigatism is only slight so they went for normal lenses. they measured my eyes and everything so maybe I'll get some corrective ones now and that should sort it.
