Arsenal did far worse than they did many years ago. i don't think it's the relocation aspect or, particularly, that wimbledon had gone into administration, it's the fact that a town with no footballing pedigree or history, managed to leapfrog all those other towns that have been fighting and playing to climb through the established league system. i think it is an example of the over-influence of money in sport. i remember being horrified at the thought of rangers and celtic being offered direct entry to the football league in an advanced position, when it was mooted a few years back. no one likes a cheat, and mkdons have cheated the hierarchical system of football, that is why people are upset, a dangerous precedent has been set...
