lavrentis Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Hmmm, I think you're probably wrong on both counts. Come and visit our ground when you play us and get a feel for the setup. Just out of curiosity, when away fans come to your ground do they sing about your club being a franchise? No harm intended, just curiosity
RedOnRed Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Just out of curiosity, when away fans come to your ground do they sing about your club being a franchise? No harm intended, just curiosity L ol, I don't think anyone's yet composed a franchise ditty to sing to us, although we do have our own franchise song for when we're winning which is "you're being beaten by a franchise" (to the tune of Juan Tanamera). Anyway, away fans typically just sing every derogatory song at us under the sun, but don't all away fans do that?
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Think Ince would be a good bet but for me out of the 2 its Simon for me got that bit more experience than Ince. Ince will find out as all managers do the higher you go the tougher it gets.
RedOnRed Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Wahey! Redonred's back Like Zorro and, erm, genital herpes...I will return!
Shipman Out Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Like Zorro and, erm, genital herpes...I will return! We shall see you next summer when we nick our third manager off you
RedOnRed Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 We shall see you next summer when we nick our third manager off you You're welcome to have one of our next new managers...
Rich Fox Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Because he cant really do any worse than our previous managers under milan so the pressures off really and if he gets sacked he will pocket two and a half years wages for doing sod all and milan will probably be sectioned with gazza by then so he wont get blamed for it going tits up. And we are a massive club getting bigger all the time and if he got us into the championship we would have to increase the capacity to at least 50 000.

Daggers Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Ince would consider coming because everybody understands that Franchise FC is a joke - it's not a real club. EuroDisney has more substance.

Although I don't think we bought them, they moved to MK. If we did buy them it would only be because they were under administration and homeless and had no other option at the time.

Well it was a stain on English football that this was ever even thought about let alone even happened! I am interested in how the local team feel about MK Dons and how their efforts have been massively overshadowed by installing a outside team to their town?

I lol'd at that quote in your post! "Moved"? **** off! What a load of wankers.
iancognito Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 From the perspective that he sees us as another stepping stone, he probably would consider it. A different club each year in a higher division, he'll be inthe Prem before we are. I'm pretty confident that if we got him, it'd be the best season we've had and the best football we've played in years.
Nationwider Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 If I were Paul Ince, I'd wait for a better offer. He won't be short of them.
RedOnRed Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 I can't see Ince going to another Div 1 side. We've got a useful team and beat every league 1 team we played last season, including knocking out Swansea of the Johnstone's Paint Pot cup and that was while they were running away with it at the top.

I remember watching that game on Sky and it was fooking awful
Raj Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 MK Dons manager Paul Ince is expected to discuss a move to Blackburn with the club's bosses over the weekend. (Daily Mirror) Ince faces competition from former England boss Steve McClaren who also wants to be the next Blackburn manager. (The Sun) No mention of him being linked with the mighty Foxes this morning!!!!
Daggers Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 If I were Paul Ince, I'd wait for a better offer. He won't be short of them. But he'd be leaving a team of Fourth Division cloggers for a squad including a smattering of U21's, internationals and Championship winners with a true vision of returning to the top flight. Given a guarantee of professional and financial support, and the Premiership-level surroundings he would go on to, it offers a realistic next step in his career. This isn't to say I believe he is going to come here, just that Franchise offer little reason to stay beyond having a big ground they can not (nor will ever) fill unless they field U2 and Coldplay in the starting line-up.
Corky Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 I would pay good money to see Chris Martin on the wing. He beat the outside edge a few times today, but looked ineffective most of the time. May do well as a footballer though
