TornadoShaunUK Posted 2 April 2005 Posted 2 April 2005 And Preston have an equaliser against Gillingham so looks like a good day 86653[/snapback] it was Gillingham who grabbed the last minute equaliser... =/ still - we bagged an extra 2 points over them today - also I think we go into 15th seeings as crewe and watford both failed to win..

Lukeh Posted 2 April 2005 Posted 2 April 2005 Wooooooooooo hooooooooo!!! Lets all have a disco! Good old Divres! Shame i couldn't go i was still coming back from the airport at half time!
Mark Posted 2 April 2005 Posted 2 April 2005 We were really good in parts today, up until we scored i thought we played great and it was good to see. But for 50 odd minutes after the first goal we were awful, inviting pressure when we can't defend, giving Dichio a stupid amount of free headers which he eventually put away. Even after they scored nothing improved and if anyone was going to win it was them, but finally we decided to attack and Connolly saved us Can't believe De Vries scored with his head, couldn't head the ball to save his life all game Missed a sitter at the end though Stearman

Anish Posted 2 April 2005 Posted 2 April 2005 Great result, decent-ish performance. Agree with Chainsaw's analysis, we played well til we scored then just sat back. Gillespie made a big difference when he came on, looked so sharp and lively and wanted to make something happen. Sadly Wilcox was anything but, just chasing shadows and hardly got a sniff. Even when he got the ball he did nothing with it. De Vries' goal was very flukey - his header had very little power and went straight through the keepers hands when he went to dive. Still he got the header on target so fair play to him. However, his miss late on when he hit the post on a 1v1 situation was very disappointing. There were no excuses for missing that chance.

emmalcfc Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 Rather gutted I didn't go today. Was planning on going, until i found out my cousins were coming down. I was going to take them, but then chickened out. Sounds like Stearman had a great game, along with a few others This is the second time I've planned on going to a match, haven't gone, and we've won. I think I'd best just stay away!
Ash Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 De Vries may of scored but he still isn't doing anything, never wins anything in the air and seems to be a step behind everyone else !
