ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 28 July 2008 Author Posted 28 July 2008 No one really noticed,as last year most left at half time giving plenty of time to pick the car up! Well if they're feeling that aggrieved at least they can plunge their beer money into the Lecy facility and not Mandy's pockets/loan against the club!?
Thracian Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Could you also move the ground next to the pub please, so I can drink till 2:58 before the match. If you could it would be much appreciated And be especially careful not to disconnect the Barbars.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Hi, just to let you know we've changed the opening time to 2 hours before kick-off. Hope that helps! Also the contact email is now [email protected] And yes, you should be able to get in and out easily, also I think you'll won't get restricted by the police after kick off as the exit is past the crossroads of Aylestone Rd and Raw Dykes Rd. Can't guarantee that but it should be a bonus for a quick getaway. As a previous user of this car park, I can confirm you do not get blocked in by police (as they do at Staples etc). It is fairly good for a quick getaway, the main congestion is walking up Raw Dykes Road. Quick tip - if you have an accomplice stand by the pedestrian crossing just before you get back to the car park they can press the button to stop the traffic and give you a clear run out to the lights!
consty Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 We still always park at Morrison's, we've never had so much as a warning in 8 years. Let me give you a warning. Their vacum packed economy ham (10 wafer slices) are very poor quality, don't buy them
Bryn Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Let me give you a warning. Their vacum packed economy ham (10 wafer slices) are very poor quality, don't buy them :: To be fair it must be a shite supermarket, even on Saturday afternoon, AND a matchday no less, the carpark is never full.
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 4 August 2008 Author Posted 4 August 2008 Update. We've got about 40 parking season tickets left. However, do not just turn up this Saturday expecting to pay cash on the gate, please send in cheques and register your details first. Thanks
Munzie Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Being skint and forking out enough for match day tickets, I park at the Dry Dock - not too far from the ground and free. Thanks for the info though I normally park at the Dry Dock too. Having gone to the Birmingham game, I noticed that the pub has erected a picket fence along the bank where the cars used to park. This wasn't a problem last week given low numbers and plenty of spaces in surrounding carparks. With the opposite side of the road (from the pub) being prone to random visits from parking wardens, next Saturday could see a mad scramble for spaces. Or, just another excuse to get to the pub really early for extra refreshments.
