ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Hi, sorry for the blatant plug, but it should be in your interests. As of July 2008, the Electricity Sports ground and it's facilities is now under the management of Electricity Sports Cricket Club. As a result we are now offering up cut price Match Day parking season tickets. The club is superbly located between the Walkers Stadium and Tigers Ground, less than half a mile to either ground. Season Tickets are set at £50 for the Leicester City/Tigers 2008/09 season. This includes evening kick-offs and the car park will open 2 hours before kick off and close 2 hours after kick off - the car park will be manned during the match. Pay on the day car parking will not be offered until later notice and there will be only 100 Season Tickets on offer. Your custom will help support the maintenance of this historic facility which is home to Electricity Sports CC, Leicester City Youth CC, St Andrews U14/15 FC and Soar Media FC. Help support inner city grassroots sport! For more information on this and club house hire contact Mark at [email protected] or on 07919 391 422 with your car registration number and postal address ready. Thanks More information on the Electricity Sports website

hairy Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 So what happens when City and the Tigers are at home on the same day / time?
Phlashman Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 So what happens when City and the Tigers are at home on the same day / time? One word: Death Race!
Corky Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Could you also move the train station next to the stadium please, so I can catch the 5:15 train home after the match. If you could it would be much appreciated
Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Could you also move the ground next to the pub please, so I can drink till 2:58 before the match. If you could it would be much appreciated

Katy Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Being skint and forking out enough for match day tickets, I park at the Dry Dock - not too far from the ground and free. Thanks for the info though
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Boo! Have always used this for free in the past
Lichfieldfox. Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Nice website. Just voted for someone randomly to win something and it worked without me needing to register. Very odd!
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 18 July 2008 Author Posted 18 July 2008 Being skint and forking out enough for match day tickets, I park at the Dry Dock - not too far from the ground and free. Thanks for the info though Fair enough, but it is secure parking and obviously parking on the street near the Dock isn't the safest. For about £3 a game, might save you that risk, and your exhaust when you climb the curb to get on the pavement! Had a lot of feedback on the opening time, cheers, we'll review that depending on how much success we have from the tickets - the more people we get, the more hours we can pay someone to man the car park!
Corky Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Something like this would do... Daggers, could you do a Photoshop of the train station next to the stadium, so I can show Arnar how much more convenient it would be?
renards Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Could you also move the ground next to the pub please, so I can drink till 2:58 before the match. If you could it would be much appreciated The Half Time Orange is sitting empty can't get much closer than that. Any budding entrepreneurs out there? Pocket all the £1s on the door and membership dosh, + decent venue for bands.....gold mine Took 14k one Tigers game (drunken taffs)
Bryn Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 We still always park at Morrison's, we've never had so much as a warning in 8 years.
Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 The Half Time Orange I said "pub" - this means proper ale & foreign beer and 1/2lb of mature cheddar in your cob in my book, not some shite lager-gaff.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Being skint and forking out enough for match day tickets, I park at the Dry Dock - not too far from the ground and free. Thanks for the info though That's what we do, not too far to walk and the beer ain't expensive! Plus it's far enough away that it's fairly easy to get out.
The People's Hero Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 There is a pub opposite my flats which sells real ale only. Well that's not true - there is one lager pump, but I was advised not to try it.

It's cool, we get there for 12 and park in their car park, get some cheeky ones in and Robert is your Mother's brother

ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 19 July 2008 Author Posted 19 July 2008 Can you review the opening times, as I travel from afar. Will there also be room toget or will you block folk in?? Hi, just to let you know we've changed the opening time to 2 hours before kick-off. Hope that helps! Also the contact email is now [email protected] And yes, you should be able to get in and out easily, also I think you'll won't get restricted by the police after kick off as the exit is past the crossroads of Aylestone Rd and Raw Dykes Rd. Can't guarantee that but it should be a bonus for a quick getaway.

More information on the Electricity Sports website Oh crap, I've made a hash of this. Just noticed it is supposed to read "and close 2 hours after the final whistle"! Sorry for the confusion.
