When the club went into administration one poor press story was about the amount of money we owed other football clubs. What that coverage failed to mention was the value of money owed to LCFC by other clubs at that time far outweighed the money LCFC owed.

C-man Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 My only concern now is the Derby match this season that'll be played two days after the Rugby match at the Walkers. It will probably be the most important game of what's left of the season as far as fans are concerned, especially seeing as we didn't win against Forest. And the pitch will no doubt be atrocious because its not this 'special pitch' or whatever, just the normal one. 88917[/snapback] It wont be bad, I ball boy at Welford Road and the pitch is good no matter how many games are played on it, one game of Rugby wont mess up a goodd quality football pitch, which the Walkers has.

An ex-Tiggers player was on the radio a few weeks back, and he was concerned that the WS was too close to the river and canal to allow for adequate drainage, thus making the pitch too soft. I know that the pitch is constructed with different layers of gravel, sand more gravel, more sand, then the top soil (which is sandy) and grass, which allows the pitch to drain (can't remember the exact proportions etc). Whilst it's ok for playing footy, the thought of a couple of tonnes scrumming, rucking, and mauling is quite scary!!
